Triumph has given its Street Scrambler a welcome update for 2022, aligning the vintage-looking machine with the Euro 5 emissions standards for a cleaner ride.
Cleaner engine aside, the motorcycle receives a range of changes to its detailing, including new aluminum headlight brackets, new throttle body finishers, a new side panel with an aluminum number board and logo, as well as a new heel guard. The same 41mm cartridge fork or twin shocks sit at the front, with Brembo four-piston brakes down below paired with a Nissin two-pot caliper down to the rear. Power continues to come from the 900cc parallel-twin engine capable of pushing out 65 horsepower and peak torque of 59 pound-feet, while other performance features include three different riding modes, traction control, a torque-assist clutch, and switchable ABS. If you’re looking for an extra touch of adventure and ruggedness, Triumph will also be releasing a limited edition Sandstorm variant for a slightly higher price.
For those interested, Triumph’s 2022 Street Scrambler and its Sandstorm Edition will be available in July and May respectively, with the former priced at $11,000 USD and the latter at $11,750 USD. Head over to the company’s website to learn more.
