Watch the Official Trailer for Netflix's 'The Cuphead Show!'

Netflix on Tuesday shared the official trailer for The Cuphead Show!, an upcoming series based on Studio MDHR’s run-and-gun video game.

The series, which will arrive in 12 episodes, is described as a character-driven comedy that follows “the unique misadventures of lovable, impulsive scamp Cuphead and his cautious but easily swayed brother Mugman.”

The visuals showcase the streamer’s commitment to the game’s distinct, early-20th-century animation aesthetic and mimic the comedic violence from the original video game. Created by Chad and Jared Moldenhauer, the series stars a voice cast of Tru Valentino as Cuphead and Frank Todaro as Mugman, along with Joe Hanna, Luke Millington-Drake, Grey Griffin and Wayne Brady.

The video game, which previously won awards at the D.I.C.E. Awards, SXSW Gaming Awards, BAFTAs and several other shows, was released in 2017 and features characters inspired by classic 1930s cartoons.

Chad and Jared serve as executive producers on the series, alongside animation producer Dave Wasson. Meanwhile, each episode is directed by Adam Paloian (SpongeBob SquarePants) and Clay Morrow (Mickey Mouse Shorts).
