Karl-Oskar Olsen and Brian SS Jensen’s Danish imprint Wood Wood turns 20 this year, and to mark the occasion the label has delivered its Fall/Winter 2022 collection with a bang. First seen during Copenhagen Fashion Week in February, the FW22 offering comprises a multitude of pieces made in collaboration with the Danish painter Tal R, most of which are influenced or directly reference the artist’s extensive archive.
A selection of works have been reinterpreted across Wood Wood’s collection, notably on the signature Cowi Vogel cardigan, this time around crafting the cozy staple from Italian yarn with all-over jacquard that’s reminiscent of Coogi knits and traditional Danish gear. Workwear influences denim, with ensembles appearing in black washes finished with Tal R laser-engraved art, while more of the artist’s work can be found on a nylon patch bomber jacket with its patches on the rear nodding to streetwear undertones and vintage cues.
Aside from this, Wood Wood offers a technical jacket made from Japanese ripstop and RDS-certified down filling, touching on its roots as a brand known for creating stunning outerwear fit for the colder months ahead. While we have seen this collection in the FW22 unveiling, it has now been lensed by Jack Symes and styled by Søren Kolborg for a lookbook, putting the collection onto the streets of East London to show their versatility as pieces that transcend streetwear, activewear, and technical gear.

In other news, the Prada nylon anorak that Frank Ocean made famous is currently for sale via Justin Reed.
