‘French TV show invited people with unusual laughs to sit together,’ the tweet read. ‘The outcome is f***ing brilliant.’ The clip was also earlier posted by user @rebecca_ryder21.
The video shows eight people sat around on sofas – all seemingly behind photos of the animal or object their laugh is most similar too, with the images including birds, a car and other creatures.
One man’s laugh could be likened to a car engine – as the automotive picture behind him suggested – whereas the pitched notes of the woman next to him could be likened to a bike horn.
Another woman’s laugh was comparable to a chicken, while elsewhere one guest’s laugh was reminiscent of a pig.
A pan over at two presenters – one of which is understood to be show host Évelyne Thomas – saw the pair doubling over in laughter as well, as the chain of infectious chortles progressed.
The clip has raked up more than 20.2 million views, with the post amassing more than 590,000 likes.
The segment, titled ‘Mon rire ne passe pas inaperçu’, roughly translates to ‘My laugh doesn’t go un-noticed’ and appears to have first aired in 2016.
Social media users shared their glee at the hilarious idea in the comments, as many left other compilations of quirky laughs.

Others got creative with comparisons of what they were reminded of.
‘This literally sounds like the background conversations in the cantina scene in Star Wars,’ one user penned.
‘This is so beautiful,’ another added. ‘Literally birdsongs.’
Another compared one man’s laughter to ‘morse code’.
