An adult star has delved into her deeply religious upbringing – admitting she was “slut-shamed” her for her obsession with the world of porn.
The US woman – known as Deelz online – has starred in a number of X-rated films, and also hosts a podcast where she interviews fellow adult industry icons about their work.
Before earning money from posing online, Deelz grew up in a strictly religious Evangelist Christian household.

While she claims she was forced to hide her early obsession with adult modelling due to her conservative background, she's very open about it nowadays.
Now, speaking to porn director Holly Randall on her Unfiltered podcast, the performer has described how her parents had refused to buy her sexy outfits and explained how she had felt forced to ditch her religious beliefs as she grew up.
“My parents would try to say, ‘no guy is going to want to date you if you wear these short shorts or this kind of stuff’,” she said.
“I was always like, ‘this sounds so f***ing stupid to me and that’s actually why I left Christianity because I’m like, ‘why the f*** would I have less fun in my real life for a stupid f***ing afterlife when I don’t even know how it’s going to be?’”
In fact, the adult entertainer revealed how this attitude had even led to her rebelling when she was forced to attend church by her parents.
“I started getting kicked out of the church on purpose; my parents would try to make me go and I would bring really short shorts to the point where they said, ‘you either have to change or you have to get out’, and I was like, ‘just kick me out’,” she recalled.
“So they’d kick me out and I would walk home.”

As well as exercising controlling behaviour over the types of outfit that was deemed suitable for her to wear, Deelz claimed some family members have judged her in the past.
“They would basically try to shame me into being different or looking different,” she added.
“Showing my skin was always so appealing to me, I just felt so comfortable and confident doing it, and I just think everyone tried to slut-shame the slut out of me, and it never worked.
“(I'd be sent) paragraphs about how I look like a two-cent whore and I bring shame to the family."
Deelz has "blocked" those who send hateful messages so she no longer has to see them.
She has also been able to build a solid relationship with her mum despite their differences.
“I left a few years ago and my mum finally left and my mum started actually going to good people who are good for helping her, and now she’s just like, I’m just going to look the other way and pretend this isn't happening so we can still have that good relationship,” she said.
