The sun is out across the country, which means sale of paddling pools, fans, and ice creams will undoubtedly be through the roof.
A new Aldi product can also add to the summer fun, as the German supermarket has launched inflatable body bumpers for just £14.99.
Suitable for children aged eight and above, they’re great for bubble ball games and running races, as well as simply bouncing around and bumping into each other.
Available in blue and red, you’ll also get safety belts, inner handles, eight air chambers and a repair kit, so parents don’t have to worry about their kids’ bubble bursting.
A set of two similar inflatable bumper balls will set you back £59 from Amazon, or you can get a smaller set for £17.99, which is suited to younger children.
Bubble soccer has grown in popularity in recent years, becoming even more of a hit in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Players wear the bumper ball over their torso and arms, with the bubble meaning they can’t get too close to others.
You have to play in a no-contact way, and get to have fun knocking each other over – not totally unlike bumper cars at the fair.
There’s no need to just stick to official games, though. These inflatable balls are ideal for general play, and mean little ones are safe if they take a tumble.
Available to pre-order online now, the toys will be in Aldi stores from tomorrow (Sunday July 18).
