Bella Hadid was a pioneer of the dad shoe trend. What was once considered a questionable choice of footwear at best has swiftly become the de facto sneaker for so many women, even more so throughout quarantine. So it's only fitting that she should be in the inaugural class of trendsetters to start a, well, related, movement: the grandpa shoe.
On an outing in New York City, Hadid wore a pair of loafers that we've no doubt spotted on the elder men in our own family trees. And even though she wore them in the most grandpa way possible — with socks! — the chic-woman-about-town effect was undeniable.
Jennifer Aniston and Amal Clooney are just two style setters who paved the way for this shoe before her. And the popularity of the backless Gucci loafer, of course, made related silhouettes even more covetable.
We believe Hadid's exact loafers to be these Montelpare Tradition patent round-toe ones, which are currently on sale in limited sizing for less than $150. But we've rustled up some additional options starting at even less — shop them all below, for as little as $60.
