While no one could forget Liam Neeson’s character Daniel or Emma Thompson’s performance as Rachel in the beloved Christmas rom-com Love Actually, there are actually several big names actors we bet you’ve forgotten were even part of the cast.
Here are 7 celebrities you totally forgot were in Love Actually.
Denise Richards
While her appearance on-screen lasted all of a few seconds, Denise Richards was in-fact part of the Love Actually crew as the character Carla.
The sister of Harriet, one of the girls Kris Marshall’s character Colin meets during his stay in the US, Carla was best known as “the real friendly one”.
Billy Bob Thornton
Billy Bob Thornton played the sleazy and married American president who hits on Natalie in the film, eventually causing the prime minister, played by Hugh Grant, to realise his true feelings for the secretary.
Also Angelina Jolie’s ex, the actor’s most recent role was on the Amazon legal drama Goliath, for which he won the Golden Globe as best TV Drama Actor.
Rodrigo Santoro
Rodrigo Santoro played the role of Karl, the office love interest of Laura Linney’s character Sarah. The relationship sadly never materialises as the couple are interrupted by repeated calls from Sarah’s mentally ill brother.
Since Love Actually, Rodigo has starred in a number of successful films and T series including the first two seasons of Westworld and Netflix’s recent hit Project Power.
Claudia Schiffer
Daniel, played by Liam Neeson, was just as surprised as the audience to see supermodel Claudia Schiffer at the end of the film. Claudia played a single mum and the widowed Daniel’s love interest, who he bumps into at the end of the talent show.
Despite appearing for roughly a minute of the entire film according to reports, the supermodel was paid an eye-watering £200,000 for her cameo.
Chiwetel Ejiofor
Kiera Knightley’s fictional husband, Peter, played by Chiwetel Ejiofor, is part of one of the most controversial storylines in the film. Peter’s best friend Mark harbours a secret crush on his wife, confessing his love via cue cards in one of the film’s most famous scenes.
Chiwetel has enjoyed huge success since Love Actually, starring in Doctor Strange, voicing Scar in The Lion King remake and even being nominated for an Oscar for his lead role in 12 Years a Slave.
Ivana Milicevic
Fans of the film will recognise Ivana Milicevic as Stacey, the American who first noticed Colin in the bar and goes on to introduce him to a bunch of her girlfriends.
However, Love Actually is not the only film Ivana has starred in, appearing shortly after in the James Bond reboot Casino Royale as well as the Anna Faris romantic comedy What’s Your Number?
January Jones
Another of Colin’s American entourage, January Jones played the role of Jeannie who coyly invites Colin back to their Milwaukee home, informing him they all sleep in the same bed in the nude.
However, most will likely recognise January as the long-suffering housewife Betty Draper on the critically acclaimed Mad Men, as well as for her big screen roles in Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights and X-Men: First Class.
