Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell have two daughters — but initially “did not want” more than one child.

The actor revealed in Tuesday’s episode of the “Endless Honeymoon” podcast that he and his wife were “content” after welcoming Lincoln, now 9, in March 2013.

Despite being “absolutely happy with just the one,” Shepard, 47, and Bell, 42, ultimately decided that they owed Lincoln a sibling.

“We love her enough to do something we don’t really want to do, which is, have a second,” the “Armchair Expert” podcast host explained.

Not only did the pair owe Lincoln a “playmate” since it wouldn’t be “fair” to make her travel alone with her parents on so many trips, but Shepard and the “Good Place” alum thought a brother or sister would keep her from becoming a “spoiled bitch.”
