The department store has said that the rest of its England shops will be open for business soon.
But the business is still waiting to hear when shops in Wales and Scotland can reopen.
Approximately 40 Debenhams stores will stay closed until governments set out plans for when non-essential retail is allowed in the rest of the UK.

Store opening times may vary, but operating hours are thought to be from 10am until 5pm, seven days a week.
As far as we know, there will be no late night shopping on Thursdays, or early morning slots.
The company has implemented a raft of measures to keep staff and customers safe.
As well as scaled back opening hours, the majority of cafes and restaurants in stores have closed.
Other measures include installing 2,000 perspex screens at tills, providing staff with visors and gloves and implementing queue management processes.
Unfortunately, Debenhams has previously announced that several of its stores will not be reopening. Branches in Southampton, Swindon, Kidderminster, Borehamwood, Truro, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Salisbury, Westfield in west London, Warrington, Leamington Spa, South Shields, Birmingham's Bullring, Croydon's Centrale shopping centre, Silverburn in Glasgow, High Cross in Leicester, and Reading's Oracle have been permanently shut.
Customers heading to a newly reopened store can look forward to some amazing discounts and bargains.
Debenhams has a big range on sale for up to 50 per cent off including men's, women's and kids' fashion. There's also up to 30 per cent off homeware.
