EVERYONE knows the days in which their bins are collected, but how will this differ over the Easter Bank Holidays?
Here, we explain how different councils will deal with the Bank Holiday, and when you can expect your bins to be collected.
When are the bin collection dates over the Easter Bank Holidays?
This can differ between councils, as some will have different approaches.
The City of London Council will not be collecting on Good Friday, Easter Sunday or Easter Monday, whilst Easter Saturday will see them collect as usual as this isn't a Bank Holiday.
In Brent, general waste will be collected as usual on Good Friday, however food and recycling bins will be collected on Easter Saturday.
This will be similar to Easter Monday, where general waste will be collected on the bank holiday, but food and recycling will wait to the day after.

In Harrow, No collections will take place on Good Friday, with them instead happening on Easter Saturday.
Similarly, no collections will take place on Easter Monday.
This is much like in Havering, when collections will not take place over the Bank Holiday. Collections due on the Monday will be pushed back to Tuesday, and every subsequent collection day will take place 24 hours later than usual.
This will also be the case in Lewisham.

In Greenwich, bins will be collected as usual on Good Friday, but bins will not be collected on Easter Monday, with these being taken the next day.
When will my bin collection resume to normal days?
This depends on your local council and what they have decided.
However it would be safe to assume that collections will go back to normal by the week after Easter at the latest.
As previously mentioned, councils who aren't collecting over the Easter Bank Holidays will push their days back by 24 hours to accommodate this.
It's best to check on your local council website in order to check what is going on.
