The 43-year-old is currently coming to terms with the prospect of raising her child alone after her husband, 47, was convicted on two counts of rape in an LA court in May. The That ’70s Show star – who pleaded not guilty – now faces as much as 30 years to life behind bars as he prepares to for sentencing in Los Angeles today.
Bijou, who is the daughter of The Mamas & The Papas frontman John Phillips, is no stranger to weathering bitter storms, but a close friend revealed to DailyMail.com that she ‘feels like she is grieving a death’ as she awaits her husband’s sentencing.

Speaking about the mom-of-one’s current state of mind, a source said: ‘Currently Bijou is circling the drain and is filled with all the emotion and no emotion at all.
‘She is a shell of who she has been. She is really trying to be strong for her daughter as she is trying to figure out life and what it will be like for her.
‘It can only be compared to a divorce or a death for her not being able to be with Danny the way they were.’
The source continued: ‘They had their life, and it has been completely uprooted and changed and change is as scary and miserable as one would imagine.
‘Friends are trying to be there for her, but things are really tough.
‘She is really trying to figure it all out and what her life will be after all things are said and done.
Whatever happens with Danny will change her life forever and, in a not so dignified word, it just sucks.’
DailyMail.com has contacted Bijou’s representatives for comment.
In May, Masterson was convicted on two of three rape charges, but the jury was hung in regards to the third, which involved the rape of a former longtime girlfriend.

After being found guilty on the other two, he was immediately taken into custody and is currently being held in the LA County Men’s Central Jail.
For those two charges he is due to be sentenced on September 7 and may face a potential sentence of 30 years to life in prison – 15 for each one, according to the LA County District Attorney’s Office.
He will also have to register as a sex offender once he is released.
Even though prosecutors said the third charge would not be retried, they said that Masterson’s former girlfriend would still testify at his sentencing hearing.
In all three cases Masterson – star of That ’70s Show – was accused of sexually assaulting women in his Hollywood Hills home between 2001 and 2003.
All three women were members of the Church of Scientology – as are Bijou and Masterson who met at a celebrity poker game in 2004.
After Masterson’s conviction, a source close to Bijou told DailyMail.com that the former socialite had been left stunned by the jury’s decision, revealing that she was ‘convinced he was telling the truth and that the jury would agree’.
‘The devastation and reality of it all are at a level that you’d never even imagine,’ the insider continued. ‘She’s had Danny’s back through this whole process and never thought this would be the result.
‘Her life has completely changed knowing that her husband and the father of their daughter Fianna may be in jail for the rest of his life. It is to Bijou something that is catastrophic to her current way of life. She can’t even make sense of it.’
