Expert hack to quickly demist your windscreen and stop it from fogging over

The colder weather often means a visit from Jack Frost.

For most of us that means getting up ten minutes earlier to de-frost our cars.

This month we've brought you quick and easy tips for de-icing, as well as do's and don'ts when it comes to getting ice off your car.

And while there are many de-icing hacks, tricks for demisting windscreens are less known.

But while many of us will be tempted to blast the heating on, the RAC advise against this.

Instead they suggest starting the heater off cold and slowly increasing the temperature.

This is so the air dries out rather than the vehicle being overloaded with hot and wet air.

Make sure the heaters are facing the windows to speed this process up.

They also recommend switching your air conditioning on.
