Alicia Christian Foster, better known as Jodie Foster, started acting at just three years old in a Coppertone commercial. She brought us memorable performances in Taxi Driver, The Brave One, and Panic Room.
She won a Golden Globe for 1988’s The Accused, 1992’s Silence of the Lambs, 2021’s The Mauritanian and has been nominated for several others.
While it seems as though Foster has stepped back from the limelight, the truth is, she’s just stepped back behind the camera, as a successful film director and producer in recent years. With a net worth of $100 million today, there’s many ways Foster spends her fortune.

In 2021, Foster won a Golden Globe for best supporting actress for her role in “The Mauritanian”, in which she also directed.

The “Inside Man” star isn’t afraid to put down large amounts in the name of a cause or effort she supports. She’s been affiliated with charities such as Clothes Off Our Back, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Small Steps Project and St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters.
Most notably, Foster has been known to quietly donate large funds to organizations like The Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute (SETI) according to The List. SETI boasts more than 100 research scientists investigating nature of the universe and life beyond Earth. Foster’s support also speaks for her open mind and interest in things outside the box.

Foster appears to settle in and stay in one place for a while, but in recent years, a buying and selling frenzy has surfaced. In 2012, the star purchased a large property in Beverly Hills for $11.75 million and sold it for $16 million in 2019. She also lived in a $6 million home near this property and in 2019, put that mansion up for sale for nearly $15 million.
In 2005, she paid $2.25 million for a home in Calabasas and Foster put it up for sale in 2020 for $2.85 million. It’s rumored this home is where Foster’s mother lived until her passing in 2019.
Though not much is known about her current home, we do know that’s no mistake. Foster and Hedison have worked very hard to keep their private life secluded and out of the public’s eye.

Staying active is perhaps the best way to keep her 5’3” frame fit. Foster is known for her love of staying active either on set or at home.
In the past, Foster has reported she enjoys 20 pushups and 20 minutes of jogging every morning, setting herself up for success each day but she’s not against spending some of those hard-earned funds for ways to stay healthy.
She’s been known to attend spin classes, karate, kickboxing, yoga, pilates and other workouts. She also loves to ski, hike and do other outdoor activities.
Over the years, Foster has been known to say what’s on her mind, work with dozens of actors, actresses and directors and can boast a stellar career in the film industry, regardless of what side of the camera she’s on.
