Gisele purchased $1.25M Miami home MONTHS before divorce was confirmed

Setting herself up for single life? Gisele Bündchen quietly purchased her own $1.25 MILLION Miami ‘cottage’ in FEBRUARY – two weeks before ‘retired’ Tom Brady announced NFL comeback… and MONTHS before their divorce was confirmed

  • The supermodel, 42, purchased the three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home on February 28, almost two weeks to the day before Brady, 45, returned to the NFL
  • According to the Post, Gisele then submitted paperwork in order to have the property – which is a 15 minute walk from her and Brady’s Indian Creek Island home – remodeled; hers is the only name on the documents
  • Work on the home was given the green light on June 10 of this year – almost five months before Gisele and Brady announced they were divorcing
  • Described as a ‘true gem’ in its online listing, the property features an enormous kitchen with a marble ‘waterfall island’, a large master bathroom – complete with his-and-hers sinks – as well as a quaint garden
  • However, at just 1,890 square feet, the home is comparatively tiny when placed alongside the enormous properties that Brady and Gisele snapped up together during their marriage
  • The former couple – who share two children and several multi-million-dollar homes – were dogged by rumors for weeks that their marriage was in trouble

Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady only confirmed their divorce today, following weeks of speculation and rumors about marriage troubles – but it seems as though the supermodel may have been making arrangements for her life as a single mother for months before their split was made official.

The 42-year-old quietly snapped up a $1.25 million three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom property near Miami Beach on February 28, just two weeks before her estranged football player husband made the shock U-turn announcement that he was coming out of retirement to return to the NFL.

According to the New York Post, Gisele, who purchased the home via an LLC, then submitted paperwork to begin remodeling the ‘charming Art Deco-style cottage’, which was approved on June 10. Her name is the only one on the documents.

Described as a ‘true gem’ in its online listing, the property features an enormous kitchen with a marble ‘waterfall island’, a large master bathroom – complete with his-and-hers sinks – as well as a quaint garden.

Helpfully, the home is also located just a 15 minute walk from Indian Creek Island – or Billionaire Bunker as its often referred to thanks to its incredibly wealthy residents and enormous mansions – where Gisele and Brady now own a $17 million mansion that they had been completely redoing in the run up to their divorce announcement.

Rumors of marital troubles have plagued Brady (seen left at Thursday night’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers game), 45, and Gisele (seen right last Friday), 42, and the news of the model’s home purchase suggests she has been preparing for single life

At just 1,890 square feet, the home – which is located in Miami’s Surfside neighborhood – is comparatively tiny when placed alongside the enormous properties that Brady and Gisele snapped up together during their marriage

Described as a ‘true gem’ in its online listing, the property features an enormous kitchen with a marble ‘waterfall island’ and it is said to have been ‘impeccably renovated’, however Gisele has already submitted paperwork to remodel the home

The current owners set the property up for a family with two children – which is ideal for Gisele who shares 12-year-old son Benjamin and nine-year-old daughter Vivian with her soon-to-be ex-husband Brady.

It is unclear when work on the property – which was already described as being ‘immaculately renovated’ – is due to be completed, nor is it known when Gisele is intending to use the home as a full-time residence, or a pied-à-terre whenever she needs to be in Florida.

As yet, the supermodel has not stated whether her intention is to remain in the Sunshine State – where Brady plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers – or return to a large city such as New York, where the ex-couple already owns a condo.

However, at just 1,890 square feet, the home – which is located in the Surfside neighborhood, where Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner currently live – is comparatively tiny when placed alongside the enormous properties that Brady and Gisele snapped up together during their marriage.

Together, the former couple own numerous properties across the country – including a $3.6 million apartment in New York City, a $17 million mansion located on Miami’s Indian Creek Island, a lavish estate in Yellowstone, Montana, that’s reportedly worth $5.7 million, and a stunning home in Costa Rica.

Two years before going their separate ways, Tom and Gisele purchased a 5,772-square-foot home on Indian Creek Island, and tore it down – with plans to build a state-of-the-art, eco-friendly mansion in its place, forking out an additional $10.12 million in construction costs. That home is located a short walk from Gisele’s new Miami home.

The island – less than half a square mile in size and only accessible by a single, guarded bridge – has been a magnet for billionaires, celebrities, and power couples who’ve sought it out because it its privacy and security, as it is protected by a private police force that patrols the community around-the-clock by foot, sky, and land.

The home boasts one master bedroom (seen), as well as two other rooms, which the listing has set up for children – ideal for Gisele who shares 12-year-old son Benjamin and nine-year-old daughter Vivian with her estranged husband

The master bathroom comes complete with his-and-hers sinks, although Gisele may choose to remove those during her remodeling process. Work on the house was greenlit on June 10

In their divorce announcements, both Gisele and Tom made clear their plans to continue co-parenting their children, however their official custody arrangement has yet to be revealed

It is unclear when work on the property is due to be completed, nor is it known when Gisele is intending to use the home as a full-time residence, or a pied-à-terre whenever she needs to be in Florida

The property has a quaint garden at the back – however the outdoor space pales in comparison to that seen at the former couple’s other residences across the country

The 300-acre island is occupied by just 34 lots with a median value of $20million, according to reports. Nestled along Biscayne Bay, it’s considered one of the safest and wealthiest enclaves in the nation.

Each home on Indian Creek is built around the perimeter of the island to ensure all residents have a waterfront view. An exclusive country club – complete with a golf course – sits in the middle of the community.

The house was meant to be the family’s forever home, and once construction was complete, they were going to be neighbors with Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, hotel magnate Jeffrey Soffer, and billionaire investor Carl Icahn.

It’s unclear what’s going to come of the home now, but construction has not been halted amid the split, as DailyMail.com obtained exclusive photos that showed workers continuing to work on the mega mansion last month.

The 1.8-acre property encompasses three buildings – a main house, a security post, and a gym. Floor plans of the main home obtained by the Post show that it will span across an enormous 17,000-square-feet, and include five bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, along with an elevator, a movie theatre, and a guest suite.

It is also set to ironically include his-and-hers bathroom suites, which may never get to be used by both, as well as an organic garden, a pickleball court, yoga terrace, and three kitchens – a prep kitchen, main kitchen, and outdoor kitchen.

They also own a $3.6 million apartment in New York City a $17 million mansion located on Miami’s Indian Creek Island. The building in which their NYC condo is located in is seen above

Two years before going their separate ways, Tom and Gisele had purchased the 5,772-square-foot home on Indian Creek Island, and tore it down – with plans to build a state-of-the-art, eco-friendly mansion in its place

As for their Manhattan condo, located at 70 Vestry Street in Tribeca, not much is known about it. The pair originally owned two units in the building, but they reportedly sold one – a five-bedroom apartment with a 1,900-square-foot terrace – for $37 million in early 2021, and kept the other, which is said to be slightly smaller.

Brady and Gisele announced their divorce today in separate Instagram Stories statements, which were posted after weeks of furious speculation that the pair’s 13-year marriage was in a state of turmoil.

In his statement, Brady said it had been a ‘difficult’ and ‘painful’ decision that the pair reached after ‘much consideration’.

Gisele said: ‘To end a marriage is never easy… we have grown apart.’ She added that she ‘wishes the best’ for Brady but confirmed the pair had ‘grown apart’.

‘I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always,’ she continued.

Both said they would continue to co-parent their two children together.

For weeks, speculation has mounted that the pair were divorcing as a result of Brady’s decision to go back to work.

He announced his retirement in February, but then reversed it a month later.

Gisele, who largely put her modeling career on the back burner in order to travel with Brady and live with him and their children in Boston, was widely rumored to have been disappointed by the decision.

In recent weeks, she has been spotted meeting with spiritual healers in Miami and in September, she told ELLE: ‘Now it’s my turn.’
