That’s one way to get a glow.
Halsey added breast milk to their skincare routine after becoming a parent in July 2021.
The singer called the liquid the “best skincare ingredient” in an interview with Nylon published Friday.
“It’s so full of antioxidants and good fats and stuff that speed up the healing process,” the Grammy nominee, who uses “she/they” pronouns, gushed.
The 28-year-old noted that they became particularly “conscious about what goes on [their] skin” when their son, Ender, now 2, was born.
“When your baby is kissing you or snuggled up against you, you become hyper-cognizant of what’s on your face,” Halsey explained.
They praised Biologique Recherche Sérum Colostrum VG ($76) — which is formulated with nourishing colostrum milk protein — in particular, saying they “got into” the product when they began breastfeeding.
Halsey, who launched their About-Face cosmetics brand in July 2022, went on to tell the outlet that they spend “a decent amount of time” sans makeup.
“[When] you see yourself done up all the time and then it can be really easy to believe that you are only beautiful or worthy when you look that way,” they said.
Without that mindset, the songwriter fears they will experience a “psychological divide” between how they look in real life and in paparazzi photos.
“It’s become exceptionally more important to me to be able to to look at my face and say, ‘This is who I am, this is how I look, and that is okay and I accept that,’” they said.
“I want to make sure that I’m setting myself up for success as I continue to age in this industry and to be at peace with that process.”

The actress has clapped back at negative comments about their appearance many times over the years.
When Instagram trolls told Halsey they looked “sick,” “unhealthy” and “too thin” in May 2022, the American Music Award winner replied, “BC I AM. LET ME LIVE.”
Their health “changed a lot” after they gave birth; they were diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjogren’s syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS) and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) after being “in and out” of the hospital.
“I’m on a treatment plan,” they assured their social media followers last year.
The “Bad at Love” singer shares their baby boy with their boyfriend — and longtime friend — Alev Aydin.
