DEAR DEIDRE: I HAVE been seeing a guy for three months.
But, if I ask if we’re an item he says: “We don’t need to answer to anyone. Let’s just see how it goes. We don’t want to look stupid if it doesn’t work out.”

We used to see each other a couple of times a week, though it’s tricky now with the lockdown.
He’s 27 and I’m 29 with three children from previous relationships.
People are asking if we’re together and I feel uncomfortable about what to tell my children. How do I find out if he’s into me as much as I am into him?
DEIDRE SAYS: If you’re having sex, then I would say you have every right to consider yourself in a relationship. If he fights shy of that, maybe he has a problem with commitment and my e-leaflet Man Who Can’t Commit? explains in more detail.
But he shouldn’t be visiting at the moment, I’m afraid, as he may bring the virus with him. That is exactly what the lockdown is designed to prevent.
It will be a good test to see if he stays interested when he can’t pop round for sex.
