Iceland recalls Twix ice creams over deadly danger to allergy sufferers

A BATCH of Twix ice creams is a deadly danger to allergy sufferers, shoppers are being told.

The Twix Barres Glacées contain milk, wheat and soya — but the ingredients are not listed in English on the label.

The bars, sold in boxes of 18 in Iceland, may also contain almonds, hazelnuts and peanuts.

It means they could cause a reaction in anyone allergic to nuts or soya or with an intolerance of gluten or milk.

At worst, they could send a sufferer into anaphylactic shock, which can be fatal.

Iceland has issued a recall for the frozen bars, with a best before date of June 30, 2021.

It said “All consumers who have bought this product should not consume them.

“Please return them to any Iceland store where a full refund will be given.”
