Injuries and suspensions ahead of Dream Team Game Week 28 – Triple Man Utd doubts for Tottenham, Jack Grealish setback

Dream Team brings you all the latest injury news and suspension updates from the Premier League to help managers navigate their way through Game Week 28.

Aston Villa will again be without the services of midfielder Jack Grealish (£4.5m) for Saturday’s trip to Anfield.

Grealish had returned to full training ahead of last week’s clash with Fulham but has suffered a recurrence of his shin injury.

The midfielder has missed seven Premier League games with the issue, and will miss at least two more weeks according to manager Dean Smith.

Smith said: “No, he’s not fit. Myself and Jack were quite optimistic to get him back a bit sooner than he probably should and he’s had a setback that will probably put him back a couple of weeks.”

Liverpool are once again without the usual suspects of Joe Gomez (£3.3m), Jordan Henderson (£1.6m), Joel Matip (£3.4m), Virgil van Dijk (£5.1m) and Divock Origi (£1.4m).

Pep Guardiola has a fully fit squad for their lunchtime kick off with Leeds, who cannot field loanee Jack Harrison (£3m) against his parent club.

Chelsea are similarly injury-free with only centre-back Thiago Silva (£4.2m) absent after his sending off during their 5-2 defeat to West Brom.

Michy Batshuayi (£1.6m) is ineligible to face his parent club for the Eagles, but James McCarthy (£0.6m) and Tyrick Mitchell (£1.2m) have now returned from injury.

Manchester United are sweating over the fitness of three first-team players.

Luke Shaw (£3.5m) and Paul Pogba (£3.6m) were withdrawn early as a precautionary measure during Thursday’s Europa League win over Granada, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer thinks they “should be fine” for the trip to Tottenham.

Forward Marcus Rashford (£5m) continues to play with an ankle injury but colleague Anthony Martial (£3.4m) could be out for the remainder of the campaign after picking up a knee injury on international duty.

Toby Alderweireld (£2.8m) and Serge Aurier (£3.6m) are back for Spurs having missed their Covid-19 tests last week, Ben Davies (£3m) and Matt Doherty (£4m) remain out.

Mikel Arteta has a few injury headaches for Sunday evening’s clash with Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

Martin Odegaard (£2.2m) has been ruled out with ankle discomfort, David Luiz (£2.4m) is still returning to full fitness while Kieran Tierney (£2.5m) could potentially miss the rest of the 2020-21 season.

Brendan Rodgers is without Caglar Soyuncu (£3.6m), Harvey Barnes (£2.9m) and James Justin (£3.8m) for their trip to the London Stadium. West Ham also have a couple of key players missing in Declan Rice (£2.5m) and Michail Antonio (£3.7m).

Elsewhere Newcastle welcome back Callum Wilson (£2.9m) after a two-month absence with a torn hamstring, but captain Jamaal Lascelles (£1.8m) could miss the rest of the season with a stress fracture.
