Michael Strahan is tackling new designs for Super Bowl weekend.
The former Giants defensive end discussed the process behind launching his Super Bowl LIV capsule collection with G-III in honor of the NFL’s 100th season.
“Since this is such a historic season for the league, I wanted to pay homage to the moment and league that started it all for me,” the 48-year-old NFL star recently told Page Six Style of the latest addition to his MSX by Michael Strahan brand.
The star added that he wanted the line to be “simple but bold.”
“The iconic logo speaks for itself,” he said. “The design and final look is inspired by the official Super Bowl LIV colors: turquoise, white, black and gray.”
The collection includes tank tops, T-shirts, polos, zip-ups and sweatshirts made of high-quality performance fabrics.
“I wanted to make sure this Super Bowl line looks good and feels good,” he explained. “I love that everything is comfortable and stylish, the ultimate athleisure clothing to watch the big game in.”
Strahan teamed up with longtime manager Constance Schwartz-Morini to design the sporty looks.
“[Schwartz-Morini] has been my partner in crime for over 10 years, and so working with her on MSX by Michael Strahan for NFL has been great since we already have a shared vision,” he said.
As for what the pro baller is most looking forward to on Big Game weekend, Strahan tells us, “Off the field, I’m looking forward to catching up with old friends and spending time with the FOX NFL Sunday team. On the field, I’m looking forward to seeing an elite 49ers defense try to stop one of the best quarterbacks in the game, Patrick Mahomes.”
Added Straham, “Make sure to tune in on FOX starting at 1 p.m. ET to see all our football coverage. It should be an incredible weekend!”
