Hollyoaks star Jessica Fox has delighted fans on social media with a sneaky glimpse at her now finished nursery as she excitedly counts down the days until her baby’s arrival.
The soap star, who is best known for playing Nancy Hayton in the Channel 4 soap, posted the nursery tour on Instagram, as she showed fans the fruits of her labours in creating the perfect nursery for her little one.
After weeks of hard work preparing the stylish nursery, Jessica took fans on a first hand tour of the calm and cute space, which featured a sage green colour palette and plenty of neutral taupes, whites and creams.
In one shot, a wooden cot could be seen standing beside a wardrobe, while a delicate moon and stars mobile hung from above to delight her new baby.
There was also a touch of home comfort with the help of a stylish rug, while several woodland themed storage baskets beneath the window completed the look.
One standout feature of the room was a bookcase laden with toys, meaning the little one will have no shortage of things to play with when they finally arrive.
From cuddly toys to wooden staples, there were even some books on the shelf ready to make bedtime an enjoyable affair for both mum and baby.
The short tour view was paired with the song Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles and set the happy and positive tone for the uplifting vibe of the room itself.
While the space was clearly a functional nursery, there were also plenty of glimpses of Jessica’s own personality too, with a hot air balloon hanging, a bear mural, and of course the moon and stars baby mobile making the room that little bit more personal for her impending arrival.
There was even a chair for mum to settle down into for nursing too, which was filled with leaf shaped cushions and a soft throw to help bundle up in at the end of a long day.
Going to great lengths to craft the perfect room, Jessica wrote: "I have shared this on our home page @fixingupthefoxden – but I’m just so chuffed I wanted to share it here too!
"The Nursery. The only room in the house to be actually finished which is hilarious when I know baby will not be sleeping in here for the first 6 months but nesting is a real thing!
"Completely thrilled with everything, we wanted to strike the balance of baby friendly, fun, calm, somewhere baby can grow and keeping in line with our aesthetic."
The Hollyoaks icon announced her pregnancy back in October, after previously revealing she had faced the heartbreak of baby loss in the past.
"Nick and I have been on a rocky road to get to this point,” she wrote as part of her pregnancy announcement.
"Miscarriage is awful, there is no other word for it.”
However, the couple were cautiously looking towards the future and all the joy the new arrival would bring.
