If you need another reason to adore Jennifer Garner, look no further.
The 48-year-old actress took time out from sharing a collage of quarantine selfies on Instagram Monday to encourage a fan to keep “fighting” for happiness, after the woman opened up in the comments section about ending a troubled marriage.
User @meregoddess called the “Alias” star “good and kind” as she described her heartbreak over the decision to leave her spouse.
“It’s that I have finally gotten the courage to tell@my husband to leave after years of emotional abuse and I feel@like I will never find happiness or security. I find a sense of balm from seeing yours buts it’s also mixed with a winsome feeling because I don’t think I’ll@ever be there. He is so vindictive and powerful and I have nothing and no one. Why am I saying this to a stranger? I really don’t know,” she continued.
Garner then offered a few words of encouragement.
“Your heart sounds heavy, I am so sorry,” Garner wrote. “Hopefully you have powerful women in your corner, reminding you of your strength and your worth. Hopefully, you are able to calm your mind and heart with prayer/meditation/exercise/art. Laughter will come and really — it is worth fighting for. Until then, all of my love.”
Garner has also dealt with heartache over the years. In 2018, she and husband Ben Affleck divorced after 13 years of marriage.
Affleck — who shares daughters Violet, 14, and Seraphina, 11, and 8-year-old son Samuel with Garner — called the split the “biggest regret of [his] life.” He has since moved on with Ana de Armas, 32.
