Celebrity couple Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have snatched up a property in Miami's exclusive Star Island residential community for $32.5 million, according to Variety's Jeff Vasishta.

According to Coldwell Banker Realty's property listing, the home sold unfurnished on August 19 for $7.5 million under its April asking price of $40 million. TMZ first broke the news that Lopez and Rodriquez were the buyers, and later reports by South Florida Business Journal and the Wall Street Journal corroborated the buyers' identity.

Jill Eber and Jill Hertzberg of The Jills Zeder Group represented the listing. A representative for The Jills Zeder Group did not immediately respond to Business Insider's request for comment on the sale or the identity of the buyer.
