December has just arrived but many households across the UK have already gotten into the festive spirit throughout November, including the Royal Family.
The Prince and Princess of Wales couldn't wait until December to put up their Christmas decorations, with an enormous 25ft tree being unveiled outside Kensington Palace on 29 November.
Kate, 40, and Prince William, also 40, relocated to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor with their three children – Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and four year old Prince Louis – earlier this year, but the pair still stay at the palace when undertaking Royal duties in London.
Kensington Palace has been transformed with a 25ft tree adorned with white and silver baubles and twinkling lights ready for the festive season.
The tree, which stands taller than the average home in the UK, could be seen being erected in photographs shared on The Historic Royal Palace's Twitter feed.
"Rockin' around… This morning Kensington Palace's 25ft Christmas tree was installed! Have you got your tree up yet?" the account captioned the photos, which instantly divided Royal fans.
One person responded: "November is too early, wait until December starts otherwise it will have dropped all its leaves by Christmas".
However others were happier to begin the festive season early, with a second Twitter user writing: "This year of all years a long Christmas is needed for those of us who enjoy the festivities!"
The Kensington Palace Christmas tree was installed just one day prior to Kate and William's arrival in the US, where the duo will be undertaking a whirlwind three-day tour.
The Waleses arrived in Boston on 30 November together, as they get prepared to attend the Earthshot Prize awards.
Upon their arrival, William thanked the US city for agreeing to host his environmental awards and for the tributes its citizens paid to his late grandmother the Queen.
Soon after landing, William said in a written statement: "On this, our first overseas visit since the death of my grandmother, I would like to thank the people of Massachusetts and particularly of Boston for their many tributes paid to the late Queen. She remembered her 1976 bicentennial visit with great fondness.
"My grandmother was one of life’s optimists. And so am I. That is why last year we launched the Earthshot Prize with the ambition to create a truly global platform to inspire hope and urgent optimism as we look to save the future of our planet.
"To the people of Boston, thank you. I’m so grateful to you for allowing us to host the second year of the Earthshot prize in your great city.
"Catherine and I can’t wait to meet many of you in the days ahead."
