Krispy Kreme is giving FREE doughnuts to those who had a birthday in lockdown

We’ve got some scrumptious news for those who love a sweet treat!

Krispy Kreme is offering free (yes, free) doughnuts to those who missed out on celebrating their birthday as a result of lockdown.

The popular company, who produce an eclectic range of yummy doughnuts, is giving the lip-smacking treats away to anyone who had a birthday between 23 March and 3 July, so if your birthday falls into that bracket then get ordering!

This means around 22 cmillion people will be able to get their hands on Krispy Kreme’s Original Glazed snack.

The company announced the news on Instagram, with a spokesperson writing: “Did you spend your birthday in lockdown?

“If so, we have some tasty news – to celebrate the 83rd birthday of Krispy Kreme this week, we want to bring you smiles if you missed out on your celebrations!

“If your birthday was between 23rd Mar–3rd July, you can enjoy a complimentary Original Glazed doughnut on us with any purchase!

“Simply go into (selected) Krispy Kreme stores with your ID and claim your birthday treat with a purchase, but hurry, offer ends Sun 19th July!

“Don’t forget to tag your friends/family – they can enjoy a tasty belated celebration too!”

However, if you are planning to head in and grab your free doughnut then you should know you’ll need to make a purchase of at least £1.55 to redeem first, and it’s one freebie per customer.

Krispy Kreme’s delightful Instagram post garnered over 3,000 likes, with a whole host of people sharing their excitement.

“Yess omg,” [sic] wrote one person, whilst another added: “Free doughnut time, yay.”

A third person penned: “The birthday that keeps on giving,” and a fourth gushed: “Don't mind if I do!"
