Love Island stars who regret cosmetic surgery from Jessie Wynter to Molly-Mae Hague

In between packing countless bikinis and preparing their best chat-up lines, there's another must-do item on many Love Islanders' preparation lists – cosmetic surgery.

And while Islanders in years gone by would often dodge the question of which procedures they'd had, it's become more normal for contestants to own their choices, and open up about everything from boobs jobs and bum lifts to more subtle 'tweakments'.

This year, Tanyel Revan spent a whopping £4,500 to get herself villa-ready, having everything from Botox and semi-permanent makeup to a non-surgical Brazilian bum lift.

However, their new looks aren't always here to stay with many former Islanders deciding to reverse their procedures within years of leaving the show.

Take a look at all the Love Island cast members who have expressed regret about their previous cosmetic surgeries…

Jessie Wynter

2023 Love Island contestant Jessie Wynter is known for her honesty regarding her plastic surgery history. The 25-year-old, who also appeared on Love Island Australia, has been open about her multiple breast augmentations and nose surgery for a deviated septum. However, she has expressed regret over her decision to undergo surgery, and has urged others not to follow in her footsteps.

On Instagram she shared: "I did get a boob job when I was younger, and it was one of those nightmare ones that didn’t go to plan. I fortunately got it fixed.

"I’ve had a really great year actually, getting it fixed was fantastic. I hope people don’t call me fake and they can see past it."

Sharon Gaffka

Sharon Gaffka, who appeared on Love Island in 2021, revealed that she had her lip filler removed in 2022. In an interview withThe Sun, she expressed regret over her 'tweakments'.

The 27-year-old, who first had lip fillers in 2018, confessed: “If I had my time again I wouldn’t have anything done on my face. I had the fillers because I thought my lips were too narrow for my face.

"I have quite a round face and at the time I didn’t see many Asian faces on TV or on social media who looked like me. I looked at actresses who were white and considered beautiful and decided I wanted to look like them.”

Laura Anderson

Laura Anderson has shared that she underwent a breast augmentation when she was just 18 years old, a decision she now unfortunately regrets.

In an Instagram post, she shared that she had undergone a breast reduction surgery to reverse the effects of the previous procedure and discussed the effects it had on her body.

She said: “I just want to make clear that even though at 18-years-old I was very mature for my age (more mentally) I really had no idea who I was or what I was doing to my body.”

“Here’s what they don’t tell you, every surgery has repercussions years down the line so this quick fix mentality which we all suffer from from time to time will most definitely come back to bite you in the ass.

“It’s not like buying a pair of jeans that don’t fit so you just take them back. Theres no refunds when it comes to interfering with our bodies.”

Faye Winter

Following her appearance on Love Island in 2021, Faye Winter had most of her lip filler removed and expressed regret about getting it done. She stated on Instagram that she should have had it dissolved earlier after looking back at photos and encouraged others to learn from her mistake.

Faye also shared on This Morning that a botched Botox procedure left her feeling extremely unhappy with her appearance and that going on Love Island and receiving negative comments about her looks gave her a “different perspective”

Megan Barton-Hanson

Megan Barton-Hanson began undergoing cosmetic procedures since she was 19, spending more than £25,000 on them over the years. She shared in an interview that she believed surgery would resolve her insecurities at the time but instead, it worsened the situation.

On Good Morning Britain she said: “I thought at 19 getting bigger boobs and a smaller nose that I would be a new woman and be super confident but really that is just the tip of the iceberg.

"You can decorate the outside shell, but really to feel good on the inside you need to work on it. For me, it was therapy and with age that you become more confident in how you look.”

Molly-Mae Hague

Molly-Mae Hague, who appeared on Love Island in 2019, has shared her regret over facial fillers and has had them removed. She had been getting fillers since the age of 17, but after receiving comments about her appearance in a YouTube video, she made the decision to reverse the work.

During a podcast interview, Molly shared her cosmetic surgery regrets, stating that by the age of 21, she looked like a completely different person.

When she looks back at old pictures, she is terrified of her appearance and barely recognises herself, describing the situation as "horrendous".
