It isn't Christmas without a delicious glass (or two) of Baileys.
For those who are trying to watch their weight or want to make (slightly) healthier choices over the holidays, the lower calorie option from Baileys, Baileys Deliciously Light is a wonderful alternative.
If you're the sort of person for whom Baileys is a must-buy and no dupe will do but you're looking to be a little healthier, then Baileys Deliciously Light, which has has 40% less sugar and 40% fewer calories than the original version, is the ideal choice.
And remarkably, it has been reduced to its lowest ever price of £10 – a whopping 39% off the usual £16.50 price tag, meaning now is the time to stock your cupboards ahead of the festive season.
Reviewers have given it a 4.3 star rating, with one person writing: "I can't tell very much difference between this Light and the original version of Baileys, so these bottles won't last long in our house."
"This went down too easy to be honest.. finished half in one go! Should come in a litre bottle," commented another.
A third person raved: "It is not as creamy as normal baileys which is expected, it is still really nice and calorie friendly"
"I bought this for my husband for an anniversary gift. Suffice to say there is none left lol," wrote another.
Narin Flanders, a journalist at The Mirror, put the lighter product head to head with the Original and gave it a resounding thumbs up.
She said: "The whisky flavour of the alcohol in the Deliciously Light version leaves a slightly longer and stronger warmth than the Original, to the extent I'm a bit surprised when I check the bottle and see it's actually got slightly less alcohol in it (16.1% ABV compared to 17% in the original)."
In her verdict, she concluded: "If you're a fan of the thick consistency of the Original then the Light version might feel a bit less luxurious, particularly if you drink it simply over ice when the difference is more noticeable. If you're making cocktails or putting it in hot chocolates though you'd not notice the difference at all."
If you're wanting to stock your cupboards with more Baileys, The Bottle Club stock lots of limited edition flavours, including Eton Mess, which is currently on sale for £7.99, Tiramisu, and Espresso Cream.
