When Aaron Snares turned down the chance to be a best man because of his weight, he knew it was time to act.
Bullied about his size for as long as he could remember, Aaron had reached a whopping 30st 2lb.
But after losing an incredible 16st 4lb, he has earned the title Slimming World’s Mr Sleek 2020.
Aaron, 27, said: “My only regret is I didn’t join Slimming World sooner.”
The 5ft 11in workplace co-ordinator was spurred into action after snubbing the best man role at his sister’s wedding because he was too conscious about his weight.

He said: “My worst fears were realised at the fitting. The suit had to be custom made and took ages to get here. I spent the whole day pulling my shirt down and generally feeling uncomfortable.”
A few months later Aaron, of Hampton, Middlesex, joined Slimming World and learned to make the food he loved in a healthy way.
He also got into exercising.
He had struggled with his weight since his schooldays, but his problems got worse when he started work.
He said: “Once I left school I had quite a decent job, so I had money to spend on takeaways.
“This coincided with being old enough to go out drinking, so my weight went up and up.
"I remember being on a lads’ holiday and breaking three sun loungers in one day. They just couldn’t bear my weight.”
Aaron credits his late gran for his achievement.
He said: “My nan was like my best friend. She had terminal cancer at the time so for her to be worrying about me really hit home.
"I hope she knows I’ve achieved all of this because of her.”
Now Aaron weighs 13st 12lb and has found love with girlfriend Lucy.
He said: “It’s the kind of happily ever after I never thought I’d have at my biggest.”
