Man proposes to girlfriend with amazing video featuring Ne-Yo and Chris Kamara

A besotted husband-to-be spent five months creating an outlandish proposal video – with the help of two celebrities.

Not content with the classic down-on-one-knee proposal, George Minty spent close to half a year crafting the surprise for his girlfriend Sophie Norman.

With the help of his videographer friend Luc Amaden, along with Sophie's pals and family, George filmed the mother of all romantic gestures, Devon Live reported.

At the heart of the short were footballer turned TV presenter Chris Kamara and American singer-songwriter Ne-Yo.

The celebrities pop up in the video to encourage Sophie to say yes.

George, a carer for disabled adults, unleashed the romantic clip in front of his 24-year-old partner while they were at their home in Shaldon, Devon last Thursday.

The 25-year-old said: “She had no idea at all but as so many people knew as they were in the video, I wanted to propose as soon as the video was finished.

“I told her I was at work when I wasn’t and made a nice romantic meal. I then fooled her by saying I had a hypnotist video that had worked on a few people.

"Sophie, being quite competitive, said it wouldn’t hypnotise her.

“When I started playing it she looked at me weird and said, ‘what is this’,  but she still did not what was going on.

“She always said it would take me years to propose so it didn’t even cross her mind. It could not have gone any better.”

Despite putting in the hard yards George was still nervous when he popped the question.

He said: “I got down on one knee and proposed and she was said, ‘are you joking?’ and I said, ‘no I’m clearly not’.

"I had been very, very worried and was shaking before I proposed and it was such a relief when she said yes.

“The rest of video was clips sent from her family and friends which we then watched.”

George secretly filmed her reaction to the video and proposal.
