A Lego mosaic of Harry and Meghan has suddenly been removed from a shopping centre just yards from Windsor Castle.
The huge artwork was unveiled in the royal town in Berkshire to mark the couple's royal wedding in May 2018.
Since then it has been a favourite spot for tourists and shoppers taking selfies in front of it.
However the mosaic was moved from the Windsor Royal Station shopping precinct Tuesday afternoon.
It was wheeled out on a pallet truck from the centre which is opposite the royal residence.
But the removal has nothing to do with the ongoing row surrounding Harry and Meghan's royal future after the couple said they would 'step back' as senior royals.
Instead, it is simply being cleaned after being targeted by overhead pigeons as a convenient toilet.
Made from hundreds of Lego bricks the artwork is now set to be cleaned and afterwards will be sold off at auction.
A spokesman for the centre said: "The pigeons have pooped on it.
"It has been moved to one of our empty units and it is being cleaned.
"I don't know how long that will take.
"It is just unfortunately timing on our part.
"We are planning to auction for a local children's hospice."
The removal of the mosaic comes after Madame Tussauds removed its wax figures of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after the couple announced their shocking news.
The works had stood to the left of the Queen and Prince Philip, with Prince William and Kate to the right.
But they have now been "separated from the family to mirror their ‘progressive new role within the Royal institution’," said a spokesman for the London attraction.
