Model scared to leave house after trolls relentlessly slam OnlyFans career

The price of fame can be brutal.

And with social media a huge part of people’s lives, it’s never been easier to receive hateful messages direct to your phone.

This can start to take its toll on influencers – as seen with the Mikaela Testa case this week.

The 21-year-old OnlyFans star, from Queensland, Australia, was reduced to tears after reading some of the “horrible” comments she’d received online.

Her boyfriend Atis Paul, 20, filmed the moment Mikaela broke down and sobbed as she cuddled him.

In the clip, the emotional TikToker said: “Every single comment is so horrible. I can’t even breathe.”

Mikaela added: “This is why I don’t even leave the house half the time, because I don’t want to see anyone that hates me.

“It ruins my day, I just feel like f***ing dying. I don’t even know what else to do anymore.”

Atis posted the candid clip onto TikTok with the caption: “This is the state I have to see my girlfriend in twice a week.”

The footage has since garnered more than 3.4million views – and people have shared their messages of support with the couple.

One commenter said: “This breaks my heart and I’m sorry that Mik has to go through this. She’s so beautiful and the people who hate on her are jealous. Keep your head up.”

Another wrote: “People online are horrible and there’s not enough light shed on how it affects people’s mental health.

“I love you Mik and I wish the world wasn’t so cruel.”

A third remarked: “I know sometimes people don’t understand/are envious of the lifestyle you guys live, but it’s not an excuse to bully. This breaks my heart.”

And a fourth added: “Mik doesn’t deserve this she is such a beautiful person and she may have other stuff going on behind social media.”

It's not the first time Mikaela has been forced to put up with online trolling.

Last year, the influencer hit out at trolls who told her to "get a real job".

She said: “My job is a real job, I legally have to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of tax, just because I’m not out laying bricks in the hot sun or like building houses, love that, respect that, but it’s clearly not for me.

“It is literal real money, therefore it is a real job.

“Everyone is different. Not everyone is going to be a hard working man. Not everyone is cut out for ‘hard work’.

“Just because I do not have the same job as you does not mean I don’t have a real job.”

Mikaela, who makes $162,000 AUD (around £85,000) a month from OnlyFans, was also mocked by keyboard warriors due to her lack of geographical knowledge.

Last March, she mistakenly said Sydney was the capital of Australia.

This led to people branding her "stupid", which can be difficult to read about yourself.

The model responded: "Thanks for correcting me, I mean, I look really stupid now.

"But I'm sure there's a lot of people in this country who think the same thing, so I'm good."
