With lockdowns looming, or already in place, Halloween is at-risk of being cancelled.
Social distancing and curfews mean no parties are allowed and trick-or-treating is unlikely to happen.
But, creative parents are still coming up with cool ways to make the day fun for children.
And, one mum has just the surprise set up for spooky season.
Hayley Chisholm, 32, a mum-of-two and teaching assistant from Middlesex, has planned a day full of treats for her two boys.
The mum has created a scavenger hunt, scary movie time and even Halloween baskets.
She put together the baskets for just £12 using pound shop and Hobbycraft buys.

Hayley told money-saving community LatestDeals.co.uk: "As each day goes by, it is looking more unlikely that we are going to be able to go out trick-or-treating this year so I wanted to make sure we still had as much fun as possible.
“For most children, this is one of the best times of the year, and my two boys are no different – Jayden and Archie love Halloween!
"I came up with the idea as I know how much my boys like waking up on Christmas Eve to a box of goodies with our Christmas Eve boxes, so I thought 'why not create a Halloween basket?’"
She continued: "I picked arts and craft bits up from Hobbycraft, the idea being that the boys can make these in the daytime, slime cakes from Tesco which we can also make in the day, then for the evening they have glow in the dark PJs to wear.
"Then once it is dark we will turn off the lights in the house and using their torches go on a scavenger hunt around the house, which I will set up on the day without them knowing!
“After that we can snuggle up on the sofa with our popcorn, sweets and hot chocolate to watch a spooky film!”
Hayley didn’t want to risk the shops selling out of Halloween goodies so decided to buy her bits now.
She said: “The pound shop and Hobbycraft is where most of the stuff is from.
“The gloves are just stuffed with sweets and I tied a ribbon around the top to keep them all in!
“For the hot chocolate, I used the little bottles from Hobbycraft and filled them with drinking chocolate and marshmallows.
"I had the baskets already at home but the stuff inside cost about £12 each.”
Hayley fun baskets are a great way to make sure your little ones have a brilliant Halloween.
And, she’s proven that the big day needn’t cost a bomb.
Hayley added: “The good thing about making these yourself is you can add as little or as much stuff as you want or even use stuff you already have at home – the children will love them whatever you do!”
