My ex told me I wear bikinis for male attention – but my husband supports me

A body-positive influencer shared her past relationships with fans and explained how she found her "worth" after recovering from breakups.

Karina Irby, who promotes body inclusive content on social media, shared a video to show a comparison of her exes' words and her husband's opinions about her outfits.

"My exes never called me a h**, but one did tell me I only wear cheeky-cut bikinis because I wanted attention from men. We broke up shortly after," the Aussie influencer wrote.

"Another encouraged me when it came to my swimwear and business, but it was short-lived. Unsupportive, opinionated and… we broke up shortly after."

But Karina noticed a change when she met her now-husband Ryan.

She continued: "From the moment that we met – loved, supported, cheered, helped, encouraged and allowed to grow, not only my business, but also me as a person.

"It’s true when they say you have to smooch a few toads before you meet your prince. Know your worth."

Fans commented and agreed that Ryan is a keeper.

One said: "You deserve to be happy, so glad you married your prince."

"Exes are exes for a reason, you've moved forward with the person you're meant to be with," a second wrote.

A person shared her story and detailed: "My ex told me I couldn't wear shorts around the house because it means I'm trying to attract his sister's partner, now I'm with someone I can walk around naked with!"

Others felt the best relationship is where the person can be themselves without feeling fear or pressure.

Karina previously shared her new year plan as she embarked on a health journey, but she was slammed for promoting a "diet culture".

She however hit back and said: "Being body positive is about making positive changes in your life that will make you happier and healthier and accepting yourself for who you are."
