NeNe Leakes has found herself involved in another lawsuit, but this time, she’s not the one behind it. Rather, the reality star’s Swagg Boutique is being taken to court after allegedly falling behind on rent payments.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the case was filed by NeNe’s former landlord, who owns Sugarloaf Mills, a shopping mall where the reality star’s clothing store once existed. NeNe first opened the boutique in 2017 and extended the lease until 2021.

The landlord is claiming that NeNe failed to pay the $22,900 in back due rent she owed when she vacated the commercial space in January 2022 (the boutique went out of usiness amid the pandemic). She was apparently sent a letter from the landlord last month threatening legal action if she didn’t pay up, which has resulted in the lawsuit.
In addition to damages to cover the unpaid rent, the landlord is seeking their legal fees covered.
Nene has been involved in multiple lawsuits in recent years. In April 2022, she filed a case against the producers of Real Housewives of Atlanta for creating a hostile and racist work environment.

She specifically claims the production never addressed her co-star Kim Zolciak-Biermann’s racist behavior and comments, despite NeNe bringing it to their attention several times. Rather, she says she was punished on one occasions after approaching execs.
“From the day the series began filming, NeNe was the target of systemic racism from co-star Kim Zolciak-Biermann, which was tolerated by Bravo executive producer Andy Cohen and other executives,” NeNe’s lawyer, David deRubertis, said in a statement.
Only a few months later, NeNe found herself in the middle of another case when she was sued by her boyfriend’s estranged wife for homewrecking.
The woman, Nyonisela Sioh, claimed that NeNe’s affair with her husband caused the dissolution of their marriage. She filed the case in North Caroline, 1 of only 7 U.S. states that allows a person to sue for infidelity. Nyonisela was seeking a six-figure settlement from the reality star for the emotional distress she alleges she was caused by the affair.
NeNe defended herself against Nyonisela’s claims, saying she wasn’t the reason their marriage ended. Eventually, NeNe’s boyfriend filed for divorce following the onset of hi estrange wife’s lawsuit.
