A man has shared a hidden feature in an oven that makes cleaning so much easier – and it has been praised online.
Cleaning an oven can be an absolute pain, particular when you have to bend over to remove the grease and grime from the oven door.
But TikTok user @dougiedinners found a lesser-known feature that can remove it entirely.
The trick does not require any use of screwdrivers and the secret is in the hinge.
In the video, Doug opens the oven door and looks for the metal hinges on the side.
He then lifts up a section where two metal joints meet and removes the double-glassed door with ease.
It gives the benefit of easy access to clean the corners and walls inside the oven.
Once he removes the oil and grime, he places the door back and secures it by locking the hinge cap.
Doug says: "The door just slides straight back in this position, now you're gonna need something long and thin so that you can get the clasp back on.
"Close them up and there you have it, no fuss no hustle."
Viewers were hyped up to find if they could do the same to remove the door of the oven.
One mum said: "I literally ran to my oven. It's not at all like that but I found something that looks like would do something similar."
Another added a tip, saying: "Make sure the latch isn't stuck in the locked position!"
A third feared they could break the appliance and wouldn't be able to put the door back on, but Doug says: "I thought I had first time but it makes cleaning the oven so much easier."
Some viewers praised for the hack for "saving their back".
One said: "One hour later and my oven is real clean for the first time in five years. Why has nobody informed me about this?"
"No more back pain! This saved my back," a second commented, and another added: "Oh my God, the way I just ran to my oven and screamed when it worked."
