The Dutch royal looked chic in the pretty blouse and checkered midi skirt which she paired with sparkling shoes and a matching clutch bag.
Meanwhile Princess Beatrix wore a pretty blue floral midi dress and wrapped a black shawl around her shoulders to keep warm from the evening’s chill.

Queen Maxima and Beatrix appeared in high spirits as they arrived at the venue in Amsterdam ahead of the Prince Bernhard Culture Foundation Award Ceremony tonight.
Princess Beatrix, who used to rule the Netherlands until her abdication in favour of Willem-Alexander in 2013, looked in overjoyed to be by her daughter-in-law’s side.
The duo posed for snaps outside the Muziekgebouw concert hall in the Dutch capital ahead of today’s event.
They could be seen beaming and giggling together, before heading inside where they presented awards to this year’s Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, or Prince Bernhard Culturefund award.

It comes after a busy week for Maxima, who spent Halloween attending several events within the city.
She first attended the Borski Fund, which aims to invest in female entrepreneurs, before performing a swift outfit change to visit the Stedelijk Museum.
