You can take Lisa Barlow out of New York, but you can’t take the New Yorker out of Lisa Barlow.

The “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star, 45, told Page Six that while she’s been living in Utah for more than a decade, she still loves celebrating Christmas time in her native New York.

“This is really devastating for me not to be in New York,” she shared. “But we’re in our Salt Lake property and my brother’s here right now. So I have family — I’m one of six kids, so I had my sister’s kids in last week, my brother and his family are here right now and we’re just like doing so much stuff. I had this amazing baker make us custom gingerbread homes so we’re decorating those, but I think we’re going to be home. And then we might be jetting out on a quick family trip for the new year. But we will spend Christmas at home.”

Barlow, her husband John and their two sons, Henry and Jack, are used to a busy lifestyle of traveling, but the reality star and businesswoman said that she’s enjoying spending time just the four of them.

“Our family is Q4 babies, starting with Jack in October,” she gushed “So I’m super excited to celebrate Henry’s ninth birthday. He’s born the day before me. We basically share a birthday at this point.”

Barlow will be celebrating her birthday on December 21.

“We’re going skiing this weekend as a family, just like all those things that you love to do. This is the one time we actually cook, so like we’ll be making like a beautiful seafood dinner for Christmas Eve and then like a nice traditional dinner for Christmas Day … And then just with family in town, we’ll probably go do like a sleigh ride, maybe a dog sled ride, lots of spa time, shopping,” she said.

Now, Vida Tequila owner is thinking ahead to her New Year’s resolutions and looking ahead to 2021.

“I’m always trying to be my best self, like I know some people think I’m on this constant pursuit of perfection, like that’s not who I am but I like to be a little bit better than I was every year,” she said. “I like to learn from my mistakes. So I’ll take a good look at some things that I could do better and try to be better at and work on those. I definitely want to take more relaxing time. Like, one thing COVID has taught us is it’s good to stop and take time and disconnect and I think I definitely want to do more of that.”
