Scarlett Moffatt was beaming with happiness after revealing she’s had a gap in her front teeth fixed, saying she can “finally smile again”.

The former Gogglebox beauty, 30, looked incredible as she opened up on being bullied about her appearance when she was younger.

Taking to social media the TV star showed off her new smile alongside a defiant message.

“As a kid school wasn’t really easy,” the I’m A Celebrity winner said in a candid video.

“One of the big things I would get picked on was my teeth because I was in a bike accident when I was little and smashed my two front teeth.”

She continued: "This unfortunately continued into adulthood. Being in the public eye isn't always fun," before showing off her new pearly whites.

"I feel like I can finally smile!,” she exclaimed.

Scarlett credited Newcastle and Billingham based dentist Queensway Dental for helping her achieve her new look, which she showed off on social media.

She wrote: “Bullies are like sandpaper the more they wear you down the more polished you become.

“I have done this for me, not them and now thanks to @queenswaysmiles & @queenswaylab I don’t think I’ll ever stop smiling. #smile #love #happy.”

Scarlett had previously opened up on being bullied in school about her teeth, saying she felt like she was an “easy target”.

"When I was eleven, the first year of secondary school, I was in a bike accident and I smashed my front teeth, and then a couple of months later I got Bells palsy," she said.

“So obviously I think I was a bit of an easy target because of all these problems," she told This Morning hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.

"The thing that was the worst was sort of the threats, the worry of what could happen, or like, I would get out of school ten minutes early so that they wouldn't beat me up, because they would threaten to.

“I once went out to play, sort of thing, with someone who I thought was my friend, and it ended up being a bit of a trap, and there were six girls there. I ran away and I knocked on this old woman’s bungalow and she drove me home because I was so scared."
