Scarlett Moffatt’s family Christmas celebrations as they look unrecognisable years after Gogglebox

Reality starlet Scarlett Moffatt and her family looked worlds away from their Gogglebox past as they celebrated Christmas together this week – more than six years on from their departure from the show.

Scarlett, who first found fame on the popular Channel 4 telly-watching show in 2014, took to Instagram on Boxing Day to update fans on what she and her family had been getting up to over the holiday period.

In the first of several snaps shared by the star, the presenter shared a picture of her mum, dad and younger sister Ava as they relaxed together on the sofa after an exciting Christmas Day together.

The smiling family were almost unrecognisable when compared to their 2016 selves, which is the last time the family were seen on our screens before quitting Gogglebox.

Six years on from their last Gogglebox appearance, proud mum Betty had ditched her long brunette locks for a shorter, platinum blonde look, while little sister Ava, who had been just a child last time she hit our screens as now all grown up as she sat between her parents.

Opting for a chic black ensemble to mark the occasion, Scarlett donned a wrap dress with a maxi design and three-quarter length sleeve as she joined her family for their annual festive lunch.

This year, she was also joined by her boyfriend Scott Dobinson, with the two even pausing to take a loved-up selfie together to mark the special day.

Alongside the slew of images, Scarlett wrote: “You realise as you get older the magic of Christmas is being loved and everything else is a bonus.”

She then continued: “Honestly had one of the best Christmases ever because I spent it with family, best friends, my doggies and of course my @scottdobby hope you all had a lovely Christmas.”

The Moffatt family first shot to fame on the Channel 4 reality show from 2014 to 2016, before bowing out of the series as thrill-seeker Scarlett headed out to Australia to appear on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here – a series, she subsequently went on to win.

Following their exit, Scarlett later revealed her family had been “gutted” after show bosses decided to axe them from the show, as producers weren’t keen to continue showing the family without Scarlett on screen.
