'Secret' Argos discount code gets shoppers 20% off garden furniture including hot tubs and hanging egg chair

A SUNNY find for shoppers means they can get 20% off Argos garden furniture, just in time for the warm weather.

The 'secret' code means products including pricey hot tubs and the store's own version of the popular hanging egg chair are slashed in price.

Last year retailers sold out time and again of the top billed garden products.

And now the sunshine has finally arrived in the UK it means Brits are starting to venture again into their outside spaces – but the furniture might need a spruce up before any guests can start coming over.

Argos shoppers have found they can score a discount on the most popular products though, which means a garden upgrade for less.

The 20% off code was posted on bargain hunting forum, hotukdeals.

Over 300 products are eligible for the offer from garden chairs and spa filters all the way up to hot tubs and patio sets.

You can buy Argos' four person CleverSpa hot tub for just £280, for example, instead of its full £350 price by applying the discount code.

That means shoppers can save an impressive £70 on their spend.

Meanwhile, the store's cheapest hanging egg chair which normally costs £360 to buy, is only £288 when the 20% off code is used.

And shoppers can save £72 with the offer.

But to claim it, you'll have to add "GARDEN20" in the promo box at the checkout.

You can only use the code to access the money-off online, so there's no chance of bagging the budget garden furniture in-store at Argos.

That means you're going to have to factor in at least an extra £3.95 for delivery on top of your spends.

But you can collect for free from your closest branch if you want to avoid the additional costs.

Because the products on offer have been so popular in the past, it means they could sell out quickly though – especially now they're reduced.

That means shoppers should get in fast if they don't want to miss out.

But you shouldn't splash out just because the products are on offer, or you might go over budget.

You should also have a shop around before committing to a purchase.

You can buy a hanging egg chair from Aldi, for example for just £190 – which makes it £108 cheaper than Argos', even with the 20% off.

Meanwhile, Morrisons is selling a hot tub for just £300 which would normally be £50 cheaper than Argos' lowest available.

Arm Argos' version with the 20% discount though, and its £20 cheaper than the budget supermarket's.

And it's not the only discount shoppers can claim from Argos, as the brand has another 20% off that's live right now too.
