Simone Biles gushed over boyfriend Jonathan Owens in a heartwarming birthday tribute, calling the the football player her “favorite person.”
“Here in Japan it is already my favorite persons birthday ? HAPPY 26th BIRTHDAY BABE. @jowens_3 I love you so much. Can’t wait to celebrate you when I get home!” the gymnast, who’s currently in Japan competing in the Olympics, wrote alongside multiple photos of the pair.
Biles, 24, credited Owens with keeping her “sane” in the “craziest times” and thanked him for always being supportive.
“An ear to vent too, someone to share fun times with and make the best of memories ? not sure how I got so lucky & what I’d do without you!” she continued.
“But I hope you have the best day ever. Not too much fun without me tho hahaha.”
Owens responded in the comments, “Thank you so much baby i love you ❤️❤️.”
Owens has been a vocal supporter of his Olympian-girlfriend’s successes, publicly lauding her when she secured her spot on the women’s gymnastic team at the Tokyo games.
“Next stop Tokyo,” Owens posted to his Instagram Story.
When the 4-foot-8 Olympian scored her seventh women’s all-around title at the US Gymnastics Championships, the most all-around titles for an American woman ever, in June, the NFL player expressed how “proud” he was of Biles.
“What an amazing experience.First time getting to watch you compete in person and you didn’t disappoint,” Owens gushed.
“It’s so cool that i get to watch you do what you love, and be the best at that I’m so proud of you my lil champ. Trials up next and you already know I’m there!! Love you baby.”
