It’s time for Kyle (Chris Milligan) and Roxy (Zima Anderson) to fly the nest in this week’s Neighbours. They’ve had the excellent news that they are indeed having a baby, and now it’s time for them to raise their family somewhere new. Sob.
Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) might unintentionally follow suit when Susan (Jackie Woodburne) eventually finds out about the whopper of a stupid decision he makes behind her back. No doubt she’ll show him the door for this huge faux pas. Any room in that taxi, Kyle?
It’s down to the wire for David (Takaya Honda) and Freya (Phoebe Roberts), as their blackmailer wants their demands met, like right now. As the pressure builds, David cracks and confesses to someone. How will they react?
Speaking of cracking, Paul Robinson (Stefan) cracks the case he’s been working on – what Montana Marcel (Tammin Sursok) is up to. What will he do with this information?
And there’s a big dose of prohibited love this week when Chloe (April Rose Pengilly) and Kiri (Gemma Bird Matheson) realise there’s a little summin’ summin’ going on between them, and Ned (Ben Hall) and Harlow (Gemma Donovan) are pretending they don’t want each other when really they so do.
Here’s what’s ahead in Neighbours.
Kyle and Roxy are off!
Hankies at the ready, it’s time for the big farewell. With news of their pregnancy, Roxy and Kyle decide there’s no time like the present to get the heck out of town. After some struggles, they manage to convince Sheila it’s the right move for them – they need a fresh start to begin this new chapter. The couple get a big Ramsay Street send off with all of their loved ones around them before they head to Darwin to their new family home. N’aw.
David and Aaron face ransom horror
It’s crunch time for David – his blackmailer wants their dosh, and they want it now. Under all this pressure, David confesses to Aaron, who is completely shell-shocked. This is a huge secret David has kept and it has him questioning everything. He goes straight to Freya for answers, convinced everything is her fault (he’s not wrong). But now David is terrified Aaron will never see him the same way again. Aaron does what he can to reassure him, but the trio are in trouble when the deadline rolls around and they don’t have the cash. They consider selling something very valuable that’s incredibly sentimental, but at the last second, Freya reveals an ace up her sleeve. Will it be what they need to save them?
Chloe gets cosy with Kiri
Chloe and Nic are about to go head-to-head and fight for the affections of Kiri. Nic is desperate to get back in Kiri’s good books after Glen did so much damage to her good image. She manages to have a talk with Kiri on the beach trip and the pair clear the air, agreeing to be friends. It’s less than Nic wants, but it’s a step in the right direction as far as she’s concerned. But when Chloe and Kiri are later alone together after a yoga session, there are sparks between the two and they almost take things to the next level. There is surging electricity between them and they’re struggling to keep their hands off each other.
Karl risks everything on huge gamble
After seeing pal Clive’s cushty life, Karl realises he’s not doing enough for Susan and thinks that in order to give her what she deserves, he needs to find a shed load of money from somewhere. A financial opportunity comes up in the form of Montana, who’s looking for an investor in her cosmetics business. Karl floats the idea, Susan isn’t keen, so Karl does it anyway. He’s uncomfortable keeping the secret, but hands Montana the check nonetheless and is pleased with himself. Little does he know that Montana’s empire is heading for collapse, which means he’ll have lost thousands of dollars as well as his manhood when Susan cuts it off after she finds out.
Ned wants what he can’t have
Ned is desperate to get things back to normal with Harlow, but life isn’t giving them the chance to do that. Amy is also totally oblivious to their feelings and drama and is herself trying to win Harlow over. Harlow instead tries to distract herself with Corey, which leads to a slight issue when everyone starts to believe they are together. This upsets her as she desperately wants to talk to Ned too. She’s irked though when she learns he’s told Kyle about them – why’d he do that? It pushes her towards Corey a little and when Ned sees them together, he realises he wants to be where Corey is. He confesses his jealousy to Harlow, who rages back at him that it’s not fair of him to tell her when he’s still in a relationship. That’s it, decision made, they can’t be friends. But can they keep away?
Amy’s falling apart
Amy is heading for a mishap that will see her in bits, literally, when her impatience catches her out. She wants to make a name for herself at the upcoming shindig, and to do that opts for an incredible and dramatic new dress. It is stunning, but it’s not ready, so she decides to think on her feet. This results in her choosing to just wear it anyway despite it being unfinished and gets slapped with instant karma when the dress falls apart right at the most inopportune moment. Embarrassing.
Paul’s cracked it
Paul has worked out Montana’s secret – she has been cooking the books for years and now is on the verge of getting collared by the tax office. His discovery freaks her out and she panics that the game is up. On the contrary, Paul has spied a new opportunity. He tells her to rack up huge expenses so that Terese is the one who will get clobbered when it all goes wrong. And then he makes one more demand – she breaks up with Leo. She complies, and Paul is overjoyed that he is back on top.
Scenes air from Monday April 11 on Channel 5.
