Stacey Solomon creates incredible watering can light display for her garden – and it’s so simple

Stacey Solomon should be renamed 'craft queen' thanks to her latest project where she turned a watering can into an incredible light display.

The mum-of-three explained how she had been struggling with her metal watering can because it was "too big and heavy to use" and wanted to make use of it in another way.

Instead of throwing it in the bin a creative Stacey revealed how she'd made it into a clever piece of art with some "cheap fairy lights" and a drill.

The Loose Women presenter, 30, spent Sunday afternoon with her toolkit drilling bigger holes in the spout of the watering can before threading through the battery-operated LED lights.

She wrote: "Okay so yesterday I decided to make our watering can into something because it's too big and heavy to use so it's just been sat in the corner of the garden…

"So I got some cheap little battery fairy lights and drilled some bigger wholes in the spout," she explained in captions as a video montage played in the background.

Stacey continued: "Threaded them all through (it was so fiddly it took ages)."

She then explained that she had finished her project on Sunday but waited for the big reveal: "I didn't post yesterday because I wanted to see what it looked like in the dark… And here it is."

Playing Leona Lewis' Bleeding Love song as background music, Stacey revealed how proud she was of the finished display: "Sorry about the dramatic music I just love it so much. I hung it on string so I can take it off if it rains. It really makes me smile!"

It's not the first thing Stacey, who is in lockdown with her partner Joe Swash and three children Rex, Leighton and Zachary, has made out of repurposed items from around her house.

She's whipped up a hanger made out of a large stick Joe had brought back from a walk to display her belts in her bedroom.

And the TV personality also made a bird feeder out of a chopping board and old candle pots that she drilled to her fence.

Even Joe has been getting in on the act using his creative skills to apply make-up to Stacey during their date night.

Stacey challenged him to do her full face of make-up and appeared to instantly regret it after seeing the results.

The pair seem to have been making the most of the quarantine enjoying special time together, with both taking to their Instagram pages to send each other heartwarming messages of support.
