This mischievous pooch has been dubbed ‘the real Andrex puppy’ after being found surrounded by 32 feet of toilet roll she’d dragged around her owner’s home.

When Jum Hurford, from Devon, went to investigate scratching coming from upstairs she was stunned to realise cockapoo Nellie had caused an unruly mess.

Footage shows 15-week-old Nellie sitting on a long section of toilet roll with an ‘innocent’ look on her face but when Jum asks ‘is that you?’ she scarpers out of shot.

The 40-year-old can then be heard saying ‘oh my god’ as she spots a huge ream of the tissue piled on the landing with a long trail leading to her bathroom.

Jum believes her mischievous dog had jumped up to bite the white tissue from its wall-mounted holder before running around the landing and into her bedroom.

She thinks the pooch was intrigued by the roll and wanted to see how much the 32-foot stretch would cover her upstairs flooring.

Despite having to spend 10 minutes rolling the mess back onto its cardboard tube the mother-of-two admitted it was ‘too hard’ to be annoyed with her troublesome pup.

The video, which was shared to Facebook on Sunday has almost 300 reactions, with amused users comparing her to the Andrex puppy from the toilet roll firm’s TV adverts.

Jum, from Brixham, Devon, said: ‘She’s like the real Andrex puppy. The toilet roll was literally from one side of the landing to the other. I couldn’t believe it.

‘I followed it right into my bedroom and I thought ‘I’ve got to video this’.

‘When I asked her if it was her, she looked at me as if to tell me it wasn’t and then she just ran away.

‘I found it funny because it’s too hard to be annoyed. She’s too cute. She can get away with murder.

‘I think she was wondering what was going on and wanted to cause trouble. She must have jumped up to reach [the roll] then pulled it around.

After she shared the clip online, many went wild for the adorable pooch, declaring she was like the Andrex dog

‘She just took it away and didn’t destroy it so I think she wanted to find out how far it could go. She’s very mischievous. I bet she had a lot of fun.’

Since the video now 15-month-old Nellie has broken a pair of Jum’s two-week-old £200 prescription glasses and a pair of flip flops.

But she insists the cockapoo hasn’t pulled on the toilet roll since, despite it being in the same place.

Jum’s Facebook post jokingly said: ‘Get a cockapoo, they said. It will be fun, they said.’

One commented: ‘She looks too cute to tell off.’

Jum replied: ‘Don’t fall for those cutie’s eyes.’

A second joked: ‘Auditioning for the new Andrex advert.’

Another agreed and added: ‘Aww so cute. The new Andrex dog.’

It’s far from the first time a naughty dog’s behaviour has gone viral online.

Baylee Mooney walked into the living room of her home in Boston, Massachusetts to a scene of devastation on February 27 2020.

Her comical video shows ripped up toilet paper and kitchen roll – presumably bought in bulk ahead of advice to self-isolate due to coronavirus – scattered across the floor.

Multi-packs of water bottles have also been torn open and left in a mess in front of the sofa.
