Well, either way, it’s now thought that your first name can predict when you become a mum fairly well.

And, that means that people with certain forenames which are the most likely to become pregnant this year.

Well, here’s the theory – the average age for a woman in the UK to give birth is 30.

That means that the median birth year of new mums for 2021 is 1990, reports OK.

So, looking at the most popular names for baby girls born in 1990 is a decent predictor of who is most likely to fall pregnant in the coming months.

And, Emma is top of the probability stakes!

The most popular name of 1990 in England and Wales was this charming moniker.

Meanwhile women with the names Laura, Sarah, Stephanie and Kirsty are in the top five – so babies might come your way by 2022!

Sadly, the name Karen was wiped out of the top 100 girls names because of the unfortunate connotations of the “Karen” meme.
