DEAR DEIDRE: MY nightmare neighbours are making me ill.
A group of students moved into the house next door last summer. Loud music blasts until 4am, and there’s a constant smell of cannabis.
I’m a 72-year-old woman. When they started throwing cigarette butts into our garden, I’d had enough. I went round to politely ask them to be more respectful.
But they got aggressive. I think they had been drinking, because they overreacted and threatened to “show me disrespectful”.
My anxiety is through the roof and I can’t sleep. I’ve started having heart palpitations. The police have warned them once, but nothing else has been done.
I’m considering moving out of my home of 40 years.
