Wetherspoons to 'sadly' close another branch in just weeks as punters say they will miss it | The Sun

Wetherspoons is closing another of its town centre pubs within weeks.

The Widow Frost in Mansfield has told its customers it will be shutting its doors for the final time on September, 22.

The popular Mansfield pub was one of more than 30 locations put up for sale last September.

It comes as the pub chain recently confirmed that it has since closed 29 sites and still has a dozen more up for sale.

A spokesperson for JD Wetherspoons, told local news website The Chad: "There will be no redundancies, staff will be transferring to Wetherspoons pubs in Mansfield, Worksop, Sutton or Kirkby.

"We believe the premises will be closed for four, or so, months before being opened by the new owner, but we cannot confirm these details."
