Georgia May Foote is best known for her role as Katy Armstrong in Coronation Street.

Since then, the actress has forged a successful TV career, including an incredible performance on Strictly Come Dancing in 2015.

The actress, who recently turned 30, has been filming for the US fantasy drama The Outpost, which is currently gearing up for its third series.

The fantasy drama is screened on The CW in the United States and Amazon and Syfy UK here in the UK.

Georgia returned to Belgrade, Serbia to continue filming her role as Falista in June last year after the schedule was delayed due to the pandemic.

Sharing photos from the set, Georgia told fans that she had fallen in love with Serbia.

"Serbia wasn't somewhere I ever considered coming to visit. But it has so much history and so many hidden gems. It will always be a special place to me now," she wrote.

While Georgia loves being on set, she has admitted that she does miss her boyfriend while she is away from the UK.

Georgia is currently dating musician Kris Evans, a finalist on Britain's Got Talent with his former band The Mend in 2012, who she says has “shown her that true love is real”.

In a gushing Instagram post, the actress wrote: "Being away after such a big moment in our lives has been strange. But I fall more in love with you every day.

"You support me like nobody I have ever met, and I could never ask for anyone better by my side. I genuinely cannot even imagine my life without you again.”

Last year, Georgia, who was born in Lancashire, took to Twitter to criticise the TV industry for not using Northern actors to play Northern parts.

“Why are northern actors not asked to play northern parts? The accent is really difficult if you’re not from here,” she wrote.

“A neutral accent is something northerners have always had to do to get work. Now our accent is more popular; why are we not getting the jobs when it is required.”

She added: “Trying to watch what should be a good series but completely put off with an accent.”

Georgia recently shared that she uses anti-anxiety medication after struggling with her mental health.

After a fan asked for advice on mental health, the actress said that she had been prescribed the antidepressant SSRI citalopram.

She said: "I have been on it for over two years now, and it probably saved my life.

"I am grateful there is a medication that can help when you struggle so much to motivate yourself to help yourself.

"Now I understand what helps I am slowly coming off it."
