Gogglebox has been a saviour for viewers to keep us laughing throughout lockdown.

The Channel 4 show has been on air since 2013 and has hosted many families throughout the years, some of which have gone on to be huge stars, like Scarlett Moffatt.

While we have tragically lost much-loved stars June and Leon Bernicoff, some of the families are still on the show to this day.

Let’s take a look at what the former stars are up to now…

Sandra Martin and Sandi Bogle

Sandi and Sandra kept us laughing for years from their house in Brixton while regularly eating a takeaway and relaxing in front of the TV.

The pair were torn apart in 2016 when Sandi quit the show, with Sandra continuing with daughter Chanchez in her place.

After the show the duo went on to appear on several other programmes, with Sandi appearing on Celebs On The Farm, Celebrity 100% Hotter and Celebrity Fat Fighters. She also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother back in 2017.

After quitting the Channel 4 show, Sandra moved out of her house and into a hotel. She went on to reveal she had spent all the money she made from Gogglebox.

"All my friends were on benefits, so when I got Gogglebox it was like I’d won the jackpot," said Sandra, who found herself with fewer friends afterwards with people using her for cash.

Chris Ashby-Steed

Chris made up one half of duo Chris and Stephen Webb, who appeared on the show from the beginning.

The hairdressers, who were best friends and also used to date, parted ways on the show in 2018 with Chris later being replaced by Stephen’s mum.

Stephen now appears on the show with his husband Daniel Lustig who he married in 2018.

Chris also went on to get married in 2017 to his husband Tony.

George Gilbey

George appeared on the show alongside his mum, Linda, and step dad Pete McGarry.

George defied the rules of the show and went into the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2014 and the family subsequently left Gogglebox. However, they later returned in 2016.

In 2019, George was jailed for three months for drink-driving and during the pandemic swapped his TV career for working in a supermarket.

Taking to social media he shared a photo of himself in a Morrisons uniform, writing: “Everyone gotta do there bit… #coronavirus.” [sic]

The Woerdenweber family

Known as the “goth” family on the show, German-born Ralf Woerdenweber, 52, his English wife Viv, 53, and their daughter Eve, 21, were firm favourites on the show.

Since leaving the show, Viv runs a shop stocking everything “goth” while Ralf works for Bosch. The family have suggested on social media that they would love to return to the show.

Their daughter Eve got engaged in 2015 and their son, known as Silent Jay who left the show first, now works in a bar.
