She posted a snap of her dunking her Christmas tree in the bathtub as she washed it before putting it up.
We do get why she does it, after all trees gather a lot of dirt and dust in the time they're up.
Posting on Facebook, the female left people split as many people thought it was a bit strange, reports Tyla.
However, other users thought it was a "great idea" as it seems like an obvious thing to do.
The woman said she went from a "pet to a pet free home" so thought it would be hygienic to wash the tree.
A few people said their dogs urinated on the Christmas tree – which sounds a bit grim.
And despite its logic, a number of Facebook users weren't convinced by the idea as there's "no way" they'd do it.

And speaking of Christmas, people are just realising why they put trees up in their homes.
There are plenty of clues throughout history to suggest why we started putting trees in our houses.
First of all, evergreen trees were a fascination for Pagans, in around the 4th century.
They saw them as a symbol of life – and were brought into their homes and decorated.
In Roman times, evergreen wreaths were hung during the festival Saturnalia, which was held from December 17-23.
